Apologies for IE8 bug for a few users

What is a day with out a frantic panic to fix an outlining issue with a website? Today I found out a user was having issues with accessing the website and that the website was just crashing the brower. IE in particular which is no suprise to most people. But what I find odd is that when I tested the website in all the know browers IE7/8 /9, Chrome, Safari and FF. Not once did I encounter any issues with the website or its useability. However for some reason adding a script known as Fancybox caused the brower issue with IE.

No suprise a jquery script not functioning properly in IE. But this never caused an issue as this feature was added during the first few steps of the website build. But thanks to a tweet from a follower mentioning the site was crashing when he was trying to load it, we troubleshot the site and the various scripts and third-party applications that could of caused this issue.

So what does this mean? Nothing, honestly you can still use the website fully as before. Instead of the login displaying in the greyed out box and opening on the page you have to go through to a frame of the login. This has been tested and works fine, so as I mentioned before this has not real effect on how the website functions. The next step is for me to find a new script that is better tested and more browser compatiable.

Hopefully this is a fix to the issue of crashing the brower. We have tested this a numerous times already and it seems to have fixed the issue. If you have any more problems with the website please contact us @ support@awdp.org

Thanks to @KevinAJackson for giving us the heads up on this issue.
