Me, like most have ideas, ideas need to solve problems. Problems that actually need solving.
Creating a startup to help solve that problem may be the solution you are looking for and
if your passionate enough for it to work then nothing will get in your way.
This 25 minute
presentation by Dave McClure an Investor and Founding partner at 500 startups. Dave describes his self as
"a greedy venture capitalist & founding partner at 500 Startups, an internet startup seed fund and incubator program in Mountain View, CA. He likes to hang out with entrepreneurs, and occasionally help or invest in their startups if they are foolish enough to let him.
Dave has been geeking out in Silicon Valley for over twenty years, and has worked with companies such as PayPal, Mint, Founders Fund, Facebook, LinkedIn, SlideShare, Twilio, Simply Hired, O'Reilly Media, Intel, & Microsoft. Years ago he used to do real work like coding or marketing or running conferences, but these days he mostly does useless stuff like sending lots of email, blogging, and hanging out on Facebook and Twitter."
You can visit Daves blog here.
Dave shares a presentation of Why not to do a startup.
I must warn he uses *Strong Lanaguage* throughout his presentation.
