Turkey lift Youtube Ban

Turkey has finally lifted its ban on YouTube after 2 years of blocking access to the popular site. In March 2007, a Turkish Court ordered that the site would be banned in the country due to offensive comments being made about the Turkish Republic's founding father, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. The first ban was eventually lifted but new offensive videos were posted and one ban followed another. The ban has now been lifted as the offensive videos and comments have been removed from YouTube, although interestingly,YouTube claims it had nothing to do with the removal of the videos and have said in a statement that 'we want to be clear that a third party, not YouTube, has apparently removed some of the videos that have caused the blocking of YouTube in Turkey using our automated copyright complaint process.'
